It is an amazing gift when one finally discovers their life's purpose. I grew up in a small town in Southern Illinois, and took my first job at Morgan Stanley in New York City. This led to 30 year career in investment banking. I worked around the world in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions, even spending two years in Moscow, Russia. After hopping from New York, to Chicago, to Moscow, to Los Angeles, I landed in San Francisco, one of the most photogenic cities in the world. I found myself increasingly pursuing hobbies, flying, cars, learning other languages, then one fateful day, I picked up a camera. The rest is history. I watched as a genetic predisposition to perfectionism, manifested itself in my photography. With each photo, I watch the quality and the depth of my pictures increase.
